Recon finding stronger NE eyewall w/ FL winds hitting Category 3 strength. SFMR lower at around 85kt, which could support a Category 2 intensity for #Jerry

It appears likely #Jerry has become a Category 2 #hurricane. Latest observations have a minimum extrapolated pressure 974.9-hPa, max flight level winds of 97kt, & max SFMR obs of 85kt. Further short-term intensification likely as long as inner core remains intact.

Los reportes del avión sobre Jerry indican un movimiento ajustado al Oeste, que podría ser temporero. Igual una reducción en su presión barométrica y posiblemente un aumento en la fuerza de sus vientos. Veremos qué dice el CNH a las 11pm.
