Aqui aparenta que ya los vientos le estan afectando por el lado suroeste.

En un momento me sorprendio el sistema, pero ya me di cuenta que los vientos lo estan afectando.

Lo q le espera a Kirk es el barbero.....

Hay que dar gracias en cierta medida, el repentino fortalecimiento de Kirk no fue nada extraño. Los factores que le beneficiaron fue que bajo un poco su traslacion, temperatureas de oceano idoneas, buena humedad a su alrededor y aparte entro en una pequeña area de bajo shear. Tengo que aclarar que Kirk esta en un punto bien cercano donde estuvo Maria y con ruta similar. " Afortunadamente" ya tiene de frente la pared de vientos cortantes desde el caribe entre 30 a 40 nudos muy fuerte. 12-24 horas mas de buenas condiciones que hubiera tenido y esto seria facil un huracan decente. Pero este parece ser el panorama y posiblemente veamos a KIrk cambiar de apariencia. Esto solo es mi opinion personal, puede pasar como puede que no. Los modelos han trabajado bastante bien la trayectoria, la intensidad , ahi van.

No se si este viendo bien, pues llevo buen tiempo trabajando en una reingenieria de procesos que me fundio.

No obstante, usando solo graficas, esto es lo que veo hasta ahora:

El sistema, a esta hora no luce tan mal. Pareciera que resiste el "shear" o que el "shear" fuerte no ha llegado. El "outflow" del sistema, si es que se le puede llamar asi, parece tener mas velocidad que el "shear" o que Kirl esta dando la batalla.

La velocidad de Kirl parece que se redujo bastante, algo que no compro con garantia, pues ya antes he visto esto y lo que ocurre finalmente es que la conveccion se detiene y el centro se ve mas tarde moviendose expuesto.

Mirando el :shear" al oeste en la grafica de vapor no lo veo tan fuerte como en los modelos de prediccion de "shear" y no se si finalmente sera este "shear" o el que se genere por la ex Leslie, el que terminara afectando a Kirk. Vamos a ver que dicen ya mismo en el NHC.

Bueno ya salio el TWO de las 5AM y de lo que yo comente, solo coincide que no ha cambiado mucho. Dice que se espera una reduccion en velocidad, yo la estoy viendo desde ahora. Se menciona un hostil "shear" en el Caribe, yo a esta hora no lo vi tan fuerte, bueno yo solo estoy mirando la imagen de vapor. Hay un avion en unas horas, ya lo discutiran los amigos foristas que entran en la manana.

Kirk has not changed much overnight. Although the storm is
producing a large area of deep convection, the cloud pattern is not
very well organized with the center located near the southwestern
edge of the thunderstorms. This asymmetric cloud pattern is due to
about 20 kt of southwesterly shear. The Air Force Hurricane Hunters
passed through the northeastern quadrant of Kirk a few hours ago and
found winds to support the same intensity of 45 kt. In addition,
quality control of a ship report that came in around the same time
also supports that intensity. Another Air Force plane is scheduled
to investigate Kirk later this morning.

A large fetch of strong upper-level westerly or southwesterly winds
are over the entire Caribbean Sea, and Kirk will be moving into
these conditions during the next few days. These very hostile winds
aloft should cause Kirk to steadily weaken, decouple, and ultimately
dissipate in 3 or 4 days. The GFS and ECMWF models suggest that
dissipation could occur even sooner. The intensity models are in
good agreement, and the NHC forecast is the same as the previous
one.

Center fixes from the Air Force reconnaissance aircraft indicate
that Kirk is moving west-northwestward at 14 kt. A continued
west-northwest motion but at a slower pace is expected during the
next few days as Kirk moves on the south side of a low- to mid-level
ridge. The latest models have not changed much, and the NHC track
forecast lies near the middle of the guidance envelope. This
forecast takes Kirk across the Lesser Antilles later today as a
tropical storm.

.UPDATE...Few surprises in the 27/00Z sounding. In fact, the
precipitable water was exactly the same. The sounding also shows a
more negative lifted index (-7) and the strengthening flow at
200-250 mb from the southwest that will work to weaken, slow and
possibly deflect Kirk northward, even if only slightly as it
arrives nearer the area on Friday. At this time a small narrow
dry slot is working into the area and shower activity is minimal
including a few light showers in the vicinity of Vega Baja and a
line that passed over Saint Croix leaving 0.12 inches at the
airport. Better activity is still expected later tonight and
tomorrow morning, but the strongest showers of the next 24 hours
will likely not occur until Thursday afternoon in western and
interior Puerto Rico. No changes have been made to the grids upon
which the afternoon package was issued..."
