For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. Showers and thunderstorms associated with a small area of low pressure about midway between the Windward Islands and west Africa appear to be slowly becoming better organized. Some additional
development of this system is possible this week as the system meanders in the central tropical Atlantic Ocean.

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. A broad area of low pressure located over the eastern tropical Atlantic several hundred miles west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands continues to produce a small area of showers and thunderstorms. This system is expected to interact with a tropical wave approaching from the east over the weekend, and it is unclear
if the interaction will enhance or inhibit development of this system while it meanders over the eastern and central tropical Atlantic through early next week.

* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.

Islands is producing a small area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Gradual development is possible early next week as
the larger tropical wave located off of the coast of Africa passes to the north of the system on Sunday.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...40 percent.

Compañeros, es cierto que los modelos han estado extremadamente inconsistentes en sus predicciones este año. Los ejemplos de Gonzalo e Isaías son bastante ilustrativos. Pero en el caso de los dos sistemas que tenemos en pronósticos, yo creo que hay que comenzar a prestarles atención. Ninguna de las proyecciones indican azote directo a la isla, pero parece que hay unas trayectorias que los acerca bastante y con la incertidumbre que hemos tenido este año, es claro que cualquier cosa puede pasar. Tanto el GFS, como el Euro los acercan demasiado a la isla, siendo más preocupante el Euro. Ambos los acercan como sistemas fuertes.
